Peaceful Bend Opens an Interim Tasting Area

Peaceful Bend re-opens with a temporary space on Sept. 30, 2017

Beginning on September 30, 2017, Peaceful Bend Vineyard will open an interim tasting room (mostly outdoors) on the weekends.

Until the new winery building is finished, there are limited facilities, but the winery plans live outdoor music every Saturday afternoon along with tastings.  Please dress comfortably and expect uneven ground in spots for the next few weeks.

The Meramec River Wine Trail is official

Most people think of business as cutthroat.  Every man to himself.  Kill the competition.

But not so in the world of your local wineries!  Eight wineries in Phelps and Crawford counties have recently come together in the spirit of cooperation to form a wine trail enabling visitors to navigate the ‘wine waters’ of the region a little bit easier.

Monday, September 11 brought the group to the table at Just A Taste in St. James, MO to sign all the official documents and begin planning for the future.  Area wineries included Belmont Vineyards, Eagle’s Landing, Heinrichshaus Vineyards & Winery, Meramec Vineyards, Peaceful Bend Vineyard, Red Moose Vineyard, St. James Winery, and Three Squirrels Winery.

After signing the official documents, the wineries enjoyed sampling several Eagle’s Landing wines while participants brainstormed what to do in the future.  A logo, brochure, and possible events are being discussed and the group will meet again on November 6 to continue their efforts.

Stay tuned for more information, and in the meantime, visit the map page to plan your route through the Meramec River Wine Trail.  Fall is a beautiful time of year in the area and each winery has many fun events planned!
